1.    Dragonfly is an insect .

2.   Adult dragonflies have large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong, transparent wings, sometimes with coloured patches, and an elongated body.

3.   The wings of most dragonflies are held flat and away from the body, while damselflies hold the wings folded at rest, along or above the abdomen.

4.   Dragonflies are agile fliers.

5.   Many dragonflies have metallic colours produced by structural coloration, making them conspicuous in flight.

6.   An adult dragonfly's compound eyes have near about 24,000 ommatidia each.

7.   Fossils of very large dragonfly ancestors in the Protodonata are found from 325 million years ago (Mya) in Upper Carboniferous rocks; these had wingspans up to about 750 mm (30 in).

8.    Approx 3000 species of Anisoptera are in the world today. Most are tropical, with fewer species in temperate regions.

                                          LIFE CYCLES

9.   Dragonflies are predators, both in their aquatic larval stage, when they are known as nymphs or naiads, and as adults. Several years of their lives are spent as nymphs living in fresh water; the adults may be on the wing for just a few days or weeks.

                                        REPRODUCTION

10.               During mating, the male grasps the female at the back of the head or on the prothorax, and the female curls her abdomen under her body to pick up sperm from the male's secondary genitalia at the front of his abdomen, forming the "heart" or "wheel" posture.

2.       This moths are  insects called Lepidoptera.  
3.       They are closely related to  butterflies, which evolved from them. 
          
4.        They also have wings, just like butterflies. 
5.        Most species of moths are active only at night.
           
6.        They can be different from butterflies in several ways, Moth antenna look like little feathers and their wings are held flat on their backs when they are not flying.
        
          
7.        Most moths are tiny,they are called micromoths or microlepidoptera.
         
8.        The larger moths are  known as Lepidoptera. 
9.         There are about 160,000 species of moths. Thousands of species of moth are still to be discover.
